CLUBS AT A GLANCE

The club activities at N. C. Jindal Public School offer the students a plethora of  exciting opportunities to think out of the box, gain new perspectives, create innovative ideas and boost their self-confidence. These activities help them gather enriched learning experiences in a collaborative environment, bring out their hidden talents and showcase their unbeatable strengths.

ECO CLUB

ECO-CLUB acts as a platform for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. It is a group of school students interested in environmental issues and willing to make significant contribution to the society. Under its aegis, the students explore environment, understand its concepts and challenges, and take appropriate actions to conserve and protect it. They sensitize their peers, school authorities, parents and community about various environmental problems through club activities.

LEGAL LITERACY CLUB

The Legal Literacy Club is formed with an idea to spread knowledge of the legal rights and duties among the students. Themes of political, economic and environmental relevance are brought to light by the field experts. The club activities engage students in discussions, deliberations and insights on Human Rights issues. Laws on Child Protection, Cyber Crime and E-waste Management are deliberated upon by the guest speakers like the lawyers from Delhi Legal Service Authority and NGO's. In today’s world, it is necessary for students to know what their rights and duties are as well as the functions of the National Human Rights Commission. The club endeavours to sensitize the students regarding human rights violation and ways to protect themselves in the ambit of law.

 

MUN CLUB

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational simulation in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. Preparing and participating in a MUN helps students develop leadership skills, research, presentation, public speaking, and problem-solving skills. Moreover, coming up with solutions that are acceptable to a majority of the representatives also inculcates in students the skills of negotiation, conflict resolution, and cooperation.

 

HAPPINESS CLUB

The Happiness Club is a medium to create a network of students celebrating life by sharing and spreading happiness. The objective is to improve the mental well-being of pupils, and develop mindfulness, social-emotional learning, critical thinking, problem solving and relationship building. Keeping in view the Happiness Curriculum, various activities such as reflective stories, art integrated activities, interactive sessions and situational expressions are utilized to equip the pupils with the necessary skills and mindset to answer the questions such as What makes me happy, How I can spread happiness among others, Why it is important being happy etc. The students are encouraged to build strong relationship with teachers, enhance their participation and involvement in the classroom and strengthen their ability to focus on goal-oriented learning.

 

DESHBHAKTI CLUB

 Deshbhakti is a spirit of empathy, tolerance and brotherhood which is enshrined in the Constitution of India. Commemorating the Birth Anniversary of India’s revered revolutionary Bhagat Singh, the Delhi government launched the Deshbhakti Curriculum which aims to instil the spirit of patriotism and nationhood in every child studying in the schools of Delhi and prepare them to be responsible citizens. In the light of this initiative, the school introduced the Deshbhakti Club on 1st April 2022 for the students of Classes VI to VIII. Activities based on visualisation, self-introspection and creative expression are carried out with a purpose to make students more self-aware, self-confident and socially responsible.

 

FIRST – AID CLUB

First aid is the first and immediate assistance given to any person with either a minor or serious injury and helps to stabilize injury and his/her condition before any professional help can arrive. The aim of the First-Aid club can be encapsulated in three P’s- Preserve Life, Prevent Situation Worsening and Promote Recovery. Through diverse activities, the students learn about basic first-aid knowledge like treating bleeding, burns, heatstroke, unconsciousness, head injuries, bone and muscle injuries, choking, fainting, chest pain, asthma etc.

 

MATHEMATICS CLUB

Maths club can be termed as dedicated extracurricular maths where students study real world maths beyond the classroom. The Maths Club aims to arouse and maintain students’ interest in Mathematics. It provides ample opportunities to students to develop their explorative, creative and inventive faculties. A potpourri  of activities are organised to inculcate the habit of self study and independent work  among the students.

 

SCIENCE CLUB

Science club aims to promote inquisitiveness among the students, help them understand scientific knowledge through science experiments and inculcate in them  scientific temper and aptitude. Generating interest in Science, it encourages, motivates and equips the students in applications of Science and its interface with society, hence, allowing the young minds to work in the field of their interest and hone their skills in presentations. Science club plays an important role in integrating better understanding of the earth, nature and diversity of information sources.

 

INTERACT CLUB

Service Above Self’ has always been the credo of The Rotary Club. Interact is Rotary International's Service Club for young people aged 12 to 18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power to serve the society. To instill these qualities in our youngsters, Interact Club of N.C. Jindal Public School, Punjabi Bagh was installed in the year 1986 . The club is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Delhi Midwest and co-sponsored by the Rotaract clubs, which provide support, guidance and mentorship. The members of Interact Club connect with others in the school and community, while carrying out service projects and learning about the world. The purpose of the club is to provide opportunity to young people to work together in a world dedicated to service and international understanding.
DEBATE CLUB
Research, reasoning, and even public speaking skills are just a few of the many benefits that come with learning to be a good debater. From planning the argument – even if it’s one you disagree with – to choosing words with care, debating can prepare students to take on any challenge life may present. With a purpose to harvest such benefits and help students hone their oratory skills, the Debate Club engages students of Classes VI to X in critical analysis, argumentation and persuasive presentation on various relevant debatable topics.

 

HEALTH & WELLNESS CLUB

The environment plays a very crucial role in nature and we as citizens of the earth live up to maintain the strength of nature. For this purpose, our health and hygiene also plays a key role and helps us to maintain good health. Health & Wellness club focuses mainly on overall well-being comprising physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual being. The aim is to help students create a holistic health culture. The activities revolve around six different themes – Knowing Your Body, Food & Nutrition, Personal & Environmental Hygiene, Physical fitness, Being Responsible & Safe, and Behaviour & life skills.

 

THE MUSIC CLUB

The Music Club aims to facilitate and enhance the learning of music in children. They develop their vocal skills and refine their musical talents. They are encouraged to participate in different cultural activities to showcase their talent in music. They also imbibe the values of individual passion, creative composition and artistic collaboration. Thus, the Music Club offers opportunities for cultural and aesthetic experiences through their participation in activities viz. Solo Singing, Group Singing, etc.

MASS MEDIA CLUB

Media Club is an integral part of modern education. It gives voice to the students and provides them exposure to the media and broadcast segment. The students are encouraged to express their feelings and thoughts through media messages they produce. Students involved in the Media Club can put into practical application the skills being taught to them in the classroom. It develops an understanding of the importance of communication. It improves their thought process, decision making and helps them to build their own opinions from an early age. The Media Club is dedicated to showcase and highlight the achievements of the school and its students.

 

ENTREPRENEURSHIP CLUB

The Entrepreneurship Club has been set up with an aim to promote an environment that helps students foster their ideas, as well as educate them on what it takes to start a business of their own. It provides them a platform where they can learn more about entrepreneurship, interact with real life entrepreneurs, get the right mentorship and support for their idea and finally be able to execute it, potentially changing the course of their journey.

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB

School Photography Club lets students take home tons of memories, as well as the tricks to capture these beautiful moments. Photographs and photography play an important role in all our lives. We all have pictures of ourselves, the things we love, beautiful sceneries, etc. And photography is something beyond that. It is not just a way to express the beauty of things in the world, but also the beauty in the photographer’s mind. There is a famous saying by Frederick R. Barnard, “A picture is worth a thousand words”. There is beauty in every small thing around us which we often fail to notice and enjoy. It is one way through which people see deeper into the things they like and appreciate them better. Photography also brings students closer to culture and nature. Through all this, students get to see and imagine the world with a much wider,broader and colorful perspective. It gives young minds a different perspective of things. Every child has an element of creativity in them. At NCJPS, we encourage students to showcase that creativity through their photographic skills. We have introduced an exclusive School Photography Club that aims to bring out the best in them. Photography of every event in and by the school will be handled by this club. We plan to conduct a photography exhibition every year. Students will be encouraged to participate in various photography contests as well.

PRAHARI CLUB

The aim of Prahari club is to keep students away from usage of drugs and alcohol by spreading awareness about the harmful effects of it such as damage to brain, heart and other important organs. Children will be made aware that they are away from addiction. They will be advised not to use restricted medicines so that they are not addicted to drugs by taking these medicines. The club would also ensure a drug-free environment for students inside the school, and in its vicinity.With this objective various activities such as Slogan Writing, Poster Making, Role Play, Street Play, Workshops will be organized on a regular basis to create awareness amongst the students about the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol

YUVA TOURISM CLUB

The vision of Yuva Tourism Club is to nurture and develop young ambassadors of Indian tourism who would become aware of tourism possibilities in India, appreciate our rich cultural heritage and develop an interest and passion for tourism. These young ambassadors would be catalysts for promoting tourism in India.

The major objective of tourism club is to enable learners appreciate the importance of travel and tourism, to ignite a passion for tourism and its value in them, to improve physical and mental health through exploratory, adventurous and sports tourism and to spread awareness about tourism opportunities at an early age.

 The club will encourage learners to explore various aspects of tourism in relation to progressive growth of the country, sensitize learners regarding elements of travel, and promote responsible and sustainable tourism practices. The club will also promote national integration and carry forward the vision of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. This is also in line with Dekho Apna Desh initiative of our Hon'ble Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modiji.
